I love language, and as a native Spanish speaker from Panama, I love watching my students learn Spanish with me. As a tutor, I make my students' priorities my priorities, so they get the most out of working with me. When learning another language, students also learn a great deal about a new culture and way of life, and I believe this experience is important for everyone. I have a firm understanding of how to instruct the language because I worked as a journalist and interacted with a variety of people, not only in Panama, but in the US and other countries as well. I received my undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Panama, which led me to talk to many different kinds of people all over the world. Everyone I saw, and even many I interviewed, for magazine or newspaper reports had a different social, educational, and financial background. It has always been important to me to communicate effectively with everyone I meet. I don't take lightly this opportunity I have to open up a whole new world to the students I teach. Through working together as a team, patience, and perseverance, I instill the confidence in my students to effectively read, write, speak, and comprehend the language.
