Experience
I graduated from the University of North Carolina, in Asheville, where I received my bachelor's degree in English education, along with a license to teach high school. I graduated in 2009 with a master's in English from Winthrop University. I am currently in the process of receiving a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University. Through my education, I was able to develop the educational skills required to help my students pursue their studies in grammar, reading comprehension, literature, and writing.I have experience teaching composition studies and literature to students. I am able to help college students, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, compose entrance essays, research using APA and MLA formats, and prepare for the GRE. Furthermore, I work as an assistant director for my school's writing center, where I help students learn how to better their academic and professional writing skills.I tutor a number of subjects, such as reading, writing, literature, and grammar. I teach English to native speakers as well as second language learners. I truly believe that my experience, compounded with my education, allow me to help my students navigate through any academic challenges they may face.I currently live in West Palm Beach, Florida, where I enjoy going to the beach, writing fiction, and crocheting.
